POLS170: Introduction to International Diplomacy 

A list of information resources for a team representing countries in a model United Nations-type activity. In this activity participants are expected to model the United Nations deliberative processes while representing the country's points of view.

    Basic statistical information on all the countries of the world.
  • UN InfoNation  
      
    Links to individual country information about their mission and representatives to the UN.
  • United Nations Economic Commission for Europe  
      
    A wealth of statistical data which is standardized so that countries can be compared. Despite being focused on Europe there is data for other countries outside Europe.
  • Academic Search Premier  
      
    Comprehensive index to scholarly journals and general periodicals in all subject and interdisciplinary areas. Coverage prior to 1990 is sparse. Some full text for 4,600 publications.
  • Lexis-Nexis Academic  
      
    Full-text articles from a variety of major US and international newspapers, including Die Zeit and a number of German language papers, El País (Uruguay), The Japan Times and a variety of other papers world wide.
